Model Takeover #2 - Kendall Jenner

Sunday 21 December 2014

Back again after a long time of no posting, it's just such a busy time and it feels so good to just sit down and have some time to write some stuff for you. It would really be a miracle if I could do this as a career, I'd love it! But unfortunately im not that advanced or shall I say liked to make this my full time job. I have another model takeover for you today and she's one of my favourite definitely the best out of the Kardashian clan even though she's a Jenner, but you know what I mean. If you haven't seen my last model takeover this is just me basically showing you a few of my favourite outfits they've worn and I really can't pick one because she looks amazing in everything it's unreal.

My personal style is a little rock n roll channelling pink chic girly girl sorta thing, if you know what that sort of style looks like, it always changes really, but I love this look on Kendall, she has got some of my favourite pieces of which unfortunately I cannot afford, the Balenciaga patent shoes and Celine tote are my fav's! And loving this quirky "HELLO" jumper it's so cool, topped of with this grey fedora at to add that chic touch.

AMEN! this is literally me in an outfit, I cannot explain how much I love it. It's just so simple and effortless and I do no have those long, slim legs but who cares I'm going to wear this! And im not to sure where Kendall got these boots from, (help me out people?) but I found an exact copy on Zara.

This amazing beauty has so many incredible red carpet looks so I've picked out my favourite few, including this one which rocked the boat a little, I mean who could rock without making a fool of yourself better then Kendall Jenner, know one that I know for sure.

This is the other favourite red carpet looks, because I'm loving this makeup look, and the outfit of course but she looks great in everything. It's obvious she's wearing makeup and has an amazing makeup artist but she always chooses to simple side to red carpet looks, and she looks incredible.

Model Takeover #1 - Gigi Hadid

Tuesday 9 December 2014
Are you all ready my lovely, amazing readers, because it's time for model takeover to begin. To be honest you probably reading this thinking "what is the crazy girl going on about", and your probably right, there's no flash, fancy personal interviews with the ladies, which I wish there was, maybe one day, but just me giving you a little insight into my favourite models of the moment and a few of their best style pics borrowed from my lovely friend Google, of course.

So the first beautiful lady is Gigi Hadid, who hasn't always been on my model radar, but only until that Pirelli magazine photograph was released she was on fire. Gigi isn't one of the major super models...yet, but she will soon be, she's got such natural beauty its disgusting, and she always rocks an outfit even if its as basic as a white tee she looks incredible.

This is one of my favourite casual street style outfits I've seen Gigi wear, because although were working some pointed leather ankle boots, with a sheer pin strip midi dress she rocks it so effortlessly.

Now this is what I'm talking about when I say she even looks amazing in a basic tee, but I love the way she's also paired it with some high waist leather skinnies and some nude courts, I love me some leather!

I wouldn't particularly wear these trousers myself but teamed with this amazing monochrome, midriff bearing Chanel jacket it looks amazingly, incredible.

This is the first photo I've seen of Gigi that screams girly, even though there's still no sign of pink but who cares because she is looking gorgeous! and her hair also looks super cute in a side plait. Love it!

Fashion | Victoria Secrets 2013 Past Highlights

Monday 1 December 2014

So as the Victoria Secret Fashion Show comes closer I thought what a better time to look over the past shows, but focusing on last years in 2013, because it was my favourite show they've done because obviously it just gets better every single year, and it's not stopping. 2014 will definitely be the year to remember or shall I say the best so far. If you didn't already know the show has been moved to London, my home city which feels great and just this morning the Victoria Secret Angels have touched down, and I'm guessing super excited to be in such an amazing city. The show will be airing on the 9th of December on CBS, which I'm pretty sure is an American channel which us Brits can't get over here, so if I'm wrong please comment and update me, because I'm always watching a day late on YouTube which just isn't the same but still pretty darn cool. So get ready for some 2013 Victoria Secret Fashion Show Highlights my friends!

I love all the angels and think their all absolutely stunning, however by far Candice is my favourite, she is just such an incredibly fierce, beautiful woman who rocks the runway all the time. And this highlight my friends is the $10 million dollar fantasy bra, which is quite crazy , I mean 10 MILLION DOLLARS!

Taylor Swift fiercely rocking out in the British segment of the show, which can I say was super awesome. I feel like I'm talking extremely American today on this post but it suits it well I suppose. So yeah she rocked.

This was hot! Adriana Lima strutting down the runway in red feather wings in the Parisian Nights segment, it was just incredible. And can I say the thing I love about the Victoria Secret show, even though there is so much controversy over their poster campaigns of having all skinny girls, if you read and watch interviews and all that jazz about the models, they work really hard at there bodies, and they look really healthy, strong women and have a good healthy lifestyle. Rant over.

Another Adriana Lima look, haven't got much to say because she loves amazing and I loved this look.

Behati and those wings! She was on fire. Actually opposite she was more like snow but you get what I mean, she rocked it and who saw Adam Levines reaction to his beautiful 'then' fiancé (now wife, obvs).

Obviously Cara had to be involved in this post because she from my home city, rocking all her Britishness over on the American Catwalk and she always looks incredibly beautiful, everybody loves a bit of Cara.

So I hope you enjoyed looking and reading about my VS fashion show 2013 highlights, is was 100% my favourite show so far and cannot wait for this years. If you love models then do come back for my Model takeover, which will be packed full of our classic super models Kate Moss and our new and upcoming models such as Cara, Jourdan Dunn, Gigi Hadid and tons more where I skim through there model highlights, personal style and beauty, don't miss out!

Hair | 60s inspo

Monday 24 November 2014

As I am preparing or shall I say training to become a hair stylist, it's really useful for me to check up on all new hair updates and styles, which I loved doing before I decided to train because I've always loved doing different styles with my own hair. My favourite decade for hair has to be the 60s, who doesn't love a beehive,I honestly thought it was and is the most flattering hair style, obviously ladies with shorter hair the beehive may be quite difficult and you may be quite limited but you all still look gorgeous, just rock the short do. To create these sixties looks you'll need a hell load of volume spray, hold spray and a back combing brush, and one of my favourite products is Label M resurrection dust to create that texture, give it a go and rock it!

Fashion | where do you get your style?

So, although I come up with most of my outfit choices and sense of style I also like to browse a little at other peoples fashion style, and where but the best place to explore? the streets! But I can't always be asked to go down to oxford street or brick lane at eight in the morning when I'm not sure what the wear or where to go with the outfit I'm trying to fix up, so I use our best friend, the wide world web, such an amazing place, if you haven't already realised. I just love to go on to Google images and browse at different street style or check out several different online magazines such as LOOK! or Vogue. I popped at few of my favourite street style outfits.

Now its coming up to winter in the UK, everything dies down a little including the colours of our outfit, and I suppose this one is probably a little more suited for spring time but I love the white skinnies with the light denim jacket and grey suede ankle boots, it's right up my street.

This outfit is just me all over, I love a pair of black skinnies, with ankle boots and a leather jacket. I just don't think you can get any cooler, it's so effortlessly chic, and I love the brightness of the sky blue shirt teamed with the white tank underneath.

This outfit again is a little like the previous, it's so cool and chic, and dressed up a little with the peep toe courts. I'm loving the edginess of the ripped skinnies teamed with a denim shirt and black sweatshirt on top, love it!

Fashion | Missguided Monochrome Party

Sunday 16 November 2014

The Christmas period is approaching which means only one thing PARTIES! Now usually you may wear a little red for the Christmas spirit but if you know me you'll know I love a little monochrome, so of course my party pieces are a little dim but they work with texture. Velvet and fur are two of my favourite things in the whole world when it comes to speaking about fashion. Fur trimmed pieces are a huge trend this season and I don't know about you but I need some of these pieces, Missguided it a great place to snap up some of the best. Fur trimmed skirts, dresses and even blazers! For these pieces and tons more of cool party pieces then head over to Missguided using the link below.

Update | What's going on?

Oh dear it feels so long since I've actually written a blog post, and it feels good to write again. I have been super, super busy with work and it has given me absolutely no time to write which is a little gutting but I have some cool news. For my readers who have been constantly coming back since the blog founded you will know that I very much wanted a career in the fashion industry, which would still be so ideal. But two and a half years ago I got my first part time college job in a hair salon, which was purely a job for some extra cash while in college but now I've decided to go to hair college because I am really enjoying it, and thought it would be super cool to actually be able to cut, colour and style hair, it's such an awesome qualification to gain and that's why I am training in hair but I also want to carry on writing about fashion  for you lovely's but also for myself because fashion will always be in my blood, and I still want to do work experience in fashion because it can definitely still be a hobby, I hope you haven't been bored to death with this little update ramble, but I thought I owed it to you, to let you know why I haven't been writing and what I'm up to, I hope you are all well, and love you all!

Fashion | the perfect sunglasses?

Wednesday 8 October 2014

So I have recently been after a pair of sunnies, which is odd and a little bit overdue, the weather in the UK right now is dismal, grey and rain. Therefore you might think I'm a little weird to want some now, however I love the look of sunnies in the winter sun and believe it or not we do get winter sun here in the UK, and I suppose summer will come back at some point so your always need some. All the sunglasses I've owned in the past have probably all been brought from Primark, truth is I haven't bothered much at all with buying a nice expensive pair, but  I think it's time and I've my eye on the perfect pair and have done for such a long time, since seeing Kourtney Kardashian wearing them, they are the Tom Ford, Natasha cat eye's in rose gold. Absolutely stunning. This photo above is not mine, I found it on Google, but thought it was the best photo to showcase these amazing sunnies, how gorgeous. They are a little on the pricey side for $380, sorry could only find the price in dollars, but you get the point. Expensive but I think totally worth it!

Fashion | Current Lusts #missguided

Tuesday 7 October 2014
Hello my lovely's, extremely sorry for the late posts, but I've had some stuff on recently that was quite personal, and has now led me to have a short time off work, which could only mean a bonus, more blogging time. However don't keep me too that as it is quite a tough time for me at the moment. Enough of that now though, I have extremely been loving the online store which is Missguided. I've only every brought one item off of this website so far, which is quite shocking as they have some really cool bits that I want, now! I am currently saving a bit of money together at the moment so have a big spend up next month, as I haven't shopped for a while (a very long time) and I think it's about time I start thinking about what I want, starting was Missguided.

Above are some of my most lusted items from Missguided. What I love about this store is that their clothes are amazing, there's plenty to choose from and it is 100% affordable, compared to other online sites. There is quite a bit of monochrome goodness going on here but winter's coming and everyone loves a little bit of white and black, and a splash of wine red in the fur. I've picked out a black, basic, A-line skirt which I love this style and think it's such a staple to have in your wardrobe. I've literally never owned a fur jacket in my whole life, I've possibly owned a fur trimmed hood jacket in the past but that's not the same, it's time to go full fur. I'm loving this co-ord, it can be styled for day time or throw on a leather jacket some simple heels and lippy, there you go it's a night outfit. After that I have picked this white mesh skater dress. It's super cute and looks great with a plum lip. Last but not least my favourite is this amazing crotchet shirt/crop top. It's absolutely beautiful, £19.99, not too expensive for such a great piece that can be styled into so many different outfits.

Fashion | #styleicon Pixie Lott

Sunday 28 September 2014

For as long as I can remember I have loved everything Pixie Lott has worn, however more so now, since she's got into this whole 60s vibe. She has an amazing figure that can suit almost anything she might put on and look absoutley gorgeous. The photos above show my four favourite outfits she has graced us all with. As you can see likes to change up her colour palette and also likes different textures, such as denim and fur. For more #styleicon's come back again.

Fashion | outfit #2

Friday 26 September 2014

jumper - New Look
skirt - H&M
shoes - Topshop
hat - H&M

I put this super soft jumper on today which I got recently from New Look, I love it, mainly because of the colour. Pale/light pink is definitely on trend this season, it's on the catwalks and it's also everywhere on the high street. I love this high neck collar as well, it gives it a retro look. I've always loved the shape of this skirt and thought it was very 60s and thought it would look great with the jumper.

Fashion | outfit #1

Wednesday 24 September 2014

tee - Primark
skirt - H&M
kimono -Primark
boots - Topshop
hat - H&M

My first outfit post here for you today my lovely readers. I love leather and I love this leather skirt in particular because its just a body con one, no sort of flare which I like. I love this pop of colour kimono, it's not expensive it was cheap from Primark but I thought it just added some colour to the full black outfit. Then I just teamed it with some black tights because it's getting a little more chilly now were in Autumn in the UK, and then some black heeled Chelsea boots, which are just quite simple. Last but not least my fedora hat, which I love but it's my first time wearing.

Event | the publics play on style #lfwend

Hello everyone, this is a fairly late post but I might as well share it will you all. I had the privilege of being presented a press pass for the amazing London Fashion Weekend. If your not too sure what this is, it's the weekend after the manic fashion week which is only attended by officials in the industry such as designers, bloggers, writers, I'm sure you get where I'm coming from. However the weekend gives the public the opportunity to experience it as well, which I think is pretty amazing. You can either buy bronze, silver, gold or VIP luxe tickets which is obviously the most expensive ticket buts it's a great experience. You get champagne, front row catwalk experience and a great goody bag filled with amazing gifts, sounds pretty worth it. This post will contain my whole experience of the weekend and also my observations of the publics trends.

First trend that I cannot miss I that everyone loves the colour black which may be understandable because we've just made it into autumn so everyone wants to tone it down a notch and as stylish as everybody looks, it does all kind of look the same which is quite unfortunate but still so stylish, well done guys. To be honest I'm sitting here myself wearing monochrome so I can't talk much stylish fashion talk. Fedora hats are one of my loves at the moment and I think everyone else's too. I own one but I'm not sure I've had much wear of it since I brought it but they really do add some style to an outfit.

As I was writing this post I've just spoken to a fellow blogger over in London from the US and she's wearing the most amazing bright jewelled necklace which brings me onto another trend of this season. The bolder and brighter the accessories specifically a necklace is a huge plus to your outfit. Bora Aksu, a designer showcased at London Fashion Week, loved statement jewelled necklaces with his designs, and although they were quite suttle, they still made up the outfit.

Being at London Fashion Weekend, is great because you get to see the publics play at fashion, some who may not have an influence of fashion but just enjoyed going for the day out. It's extremely interesting and inspirational. On the day I listed several different items that I saw most on the public, these were bright floral's, shawls, leather, leopard print and quilted boots. Now I wasn't quite with the quilted boots, as they've never really appealed to me, but I saw a lot leather being worn in the form of skirts, dungarees, jackets and trousers, and I absolutely love a bit of leather. Also leopard print was also worn in multiple forms which were as trousers, skirts and scarves but again, I've tried and test wearing this print before and totally got turnt off it. But everyone to their own likes and dislikes. I've hoped you enjoyed this post and come back to the blog again.

Fashion | #styleicon Olivia Palermo

Olivia Palermo has been my personal style icon since day one, everything about her is absolutely stunning, her fashion sense obviously, teamed with her shiny, sleek hair and clear complexion skin. I sound a little strange but she is gorgeous , and everyone knows it. Above I have popped a few photos of my favourite outfits she's worn, it's really hard to choose but these ones are mainly casual simple outfits. Palermo was at several fashion week shows this season and hasn't stopped yet, but fashion weeks are a great way to really look at a good style and she is always on top of her game with stunning style, which I think no one could compete with.

Fashion | #styleicon Anna Dello Russo

Tuesday 23 September 2014

Regularly on the blog I'm going to be sharing with all my amazing readers a style icon, not necessarily my icon but represented to others as an icon. Today is the most wonderful Anna Dello Russo, I've actually only just noticed how stylish this woman is since really taking note of fashion week this season, and of course I had to follow her on Instagram, huge inspiration.

At fifty two years of age this lady is not afraid of breaking the style bank, she will rock anything. I'm not sure you will ever see Russo in trousers, legs out are a must with her. She's been strutting herself to every single fashion show I can think of, from Moschino to Marni, to a whole load of others, and her style is on point every single time, she can go a little crazy with the designs but isn't that what fashion is all about, craziness?

I've always linked Russo with the Moschino shows, first it's the McDonalds outfits, that I have to say she liked pretty darn cool in, and this season she was seen rocking a jumper/dress Barbie Moschino design, absolutely amazing. Hope you enjoy this post, be back tomorrow for another #styleicon.
